Telwater, Australia’s largest alloy boat-builder, has officially launched Move trailers, a standalone trailer brand in Australia.
The new brand, separate to Telwater’s existing line of trailers that it already builds for its Stacer, Savage, Quintrex and Yellowfin Plate brands, will officially launch in coming months.
Move Trailers will tap into Telwater’s extensive experience in building boat trailers, dating back to a prototype built in 2003, with the first trailers delivered to customers in 2005.
The new Gold Coast-based brand will build its trailers to suit alloy, plate and fibreglass boats.

“Throughout our 16 years of production, we have continued to develop and improve our products in line with industry demand and the evolution of engineering,” Telwater general manager Sam Heyes said.
“Now we are excited to be able to afford this safety and certainty of safe trailering to every boatie with a Telwater-built trailer.”
Telwater said its Move Trailers would be built around “a sound structure of marine-grade aluminium, meaning their lifespan triples that of a steel build”.

“Their C-channel and I-beam frames, as opposed to box sections, ensures water is not retained, preventing waterlogging and weight overload,” it said.
“The aluminium build results in the prevention of rust, increased durability, and a more lightweight product, therefore making Move Trailers easier to tow and maneuver.”
Each trailer will come fitted with a wide range of standard features including LED lights, a waterproof plug and play wiring harness, moulded wheel guards and a swing-up jockey wheel.
Optional extras on Move Trailers will include a catch and release system “designed to take the grunt out of the drive- on/drive-off experience at the boat ramp, specially built for the solo boatie or those who enjoy simplistic trailering”, a spare wheel carrier, and a trailer walkway.

The Move Trailers range will launch with almost 30 models to suit boats ranging in length from 3.5 metres to 7.1 metres. The trailers will be available in braked and unbraked versions available, and hydraulic options for those needing a bit more stopping performance.
Move Trailers has already appointed a number of dealers along the eastern seaboard, in regional NSW and Victoria, and Perth.
