Andrew Wilson, author of Old Sea Dogs of Tasmania, has begun research for the second edition, and he's after a bit of help.
"Researching and writing the first edition been a really amazing experience for me and I hope you've enjoyed meeting the old salts as much as I did," said Wilson.
"I'm currently researching people for the second edition of the book, which I hope to release late next year and I'm kooking for people who can help me with my research.
"There's two areas I'm researching:
1) Sea Dogs who are currently living in Tasmania, over the age of 70.
2) Sea Dog Icons from the past who are no longer with us.
"The names in part two will be included in an obituary section of the new edition. This was a great idea of my father's, for people like Jock Muir, Headly Calvert and Eddis Boyes to name only a few, are still legends of the maritime community today and I wanted to recognise their part in the island's seafaring story."
