Raymarine has integrated even more Mercury Marine features into the latest version of the software driving its Axiom family of high-end multifunction touchscreens.
The latest additions come via the release of LightHouse 3.16.61, the software that drives the devices, and in the tradition of naming its software after popular recreational boating destinations, this time around the latest update will be known as “Hvar”.
As well as supporting Raymarine’s new Cyclone range of low-power open-array radars introduced earlier this month, the latest operating system release will include a number of features linked to Mercury powerplants.
This includes grouping together multiple Mercury engines to operate via the Axiom touchscreen as though they were a single unit, colour-coded engine alarm pop-ups, and general operation pop-ups that are used to keep the skipper up to date with what the powerplants are doing.
Other major tweaks coming via LightHouse 3.16.61 include an updated sidebar selection panel, and an anchor mode that accounts for a vessel’s keel offset and waterline-to-deck length.
Also helping users are a number of small tweaks such as adding a "T" to the top of the screen in augmented reality mode to make the heading reference more obvious, and a wireless hotspotting issue with iPhones running iOS 15 software.
