More Honours For Seawind 1160
Cruising World magazine has picked the Seawind 1160 as the Most Innovative Design, as well as the Best Multihull Cruiser in the US for 2007An independent panel of experts named the Us magazine’s winners after inspecting and then testing 23 boats, including the Seawind 1160, that were nominated for the contest during the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, Maryland, in October last year.
“This is the first production multihull that I’ve ever seen that I’d consider buying myself,” said Peter Wormwood, one of the judges.
Seawind Catamarans is about to celebrate 25 years in business. In September, the 1160 won the Best Sailboat award of the Newport International Boat Show, and the company has also won numerous other business and manufacturing awards.
The Seawind 1160 was also named Australia’s Best Sailboat of 2005 by the Australian Marine Industry Federation.
