The 2017 Moomba Masters is up and running this weekend with some of the world's best athletes competing in various disciplines of waterskiing and wakeboarding on the mighty Yarra River.
Held annually in March in the heart of Melbourne, the Moomba Masters attracts spectators and overseas visitors in their thousands to watch the incredible exhibition at this competitive watersports event during the culturally rich Moomba Festival.
The three main event competitions in Trick, Slalom and Jump disciplines see competitors ski exclusively behind Ski Nautique 200 Tow Boats. Wakeboard competitors ride behind the new Nautique G23.
The Moomba ski show review at night is a big part of the magic that has made the Moomba Masters so special. The event is endorsed by the International Water Ski and Waker Board Federation and promoted by the City of Melbourne.
The Junior Moomba (boys and girls) was held March 8-9, with every day of the long weekend thereafter from March 10-13 hosting the Moomba Master (men/women), Night Jumping, and Wakeboard (men/women). So get on down to see the skiers carve and get air behind the Nautique boats this weekend.
