Thirty metres seems to be the new hot spot for European production superyachts, with Princess, Sunseeker and now Monte Carlo Yachts (MCY) offering new models in the big league.
The recent announcement of the new MCY 96, which is said to build on the success of the MYC 105, hopes to further develop the Italian yard's "Future Classic" design philosophy.
A unique feature of the new near-30 metre boat will be the actual designed certification options, which MYC believes can add significant value for the owner.
The boat can comply with RINA Pleasure or RINA Charter Class certifications and, upon request, can also be certified according to CE-A category standards to be utilised as a pleasure boat or according to MCA MGN 280.
SUPERYACHT SPIRIT
Following the success of the award-winning MCY 105, the MCY 96 will be followed by new models in the near future, the yard says.
Carla Demaria, President of Monte Carlo Yachts, says the international success and global appeal of the MCY 105 has guided the development of the MCY 96.
"It will set new standards and mark a new era of growth in the superyacht segment for Monte Carlo Yachts."
ITALIAN THINKING
Designed by Nuvolari Lenard, the MYC96 is pitched as a stand out for its smooth lines, high bow and deceptively low profile.
Apparently, the first three MYC96s have been already sold.
Monte Carlo Yachts will present the new model at an exclusive, invitation-only event in July 2017 before showcasing it at the Cannes, Monaco and Genova yachting festivals.
