Military inflatable for civilians

New sportsboat can handle 60hp

Quicksilver Inflatables has long produced its TM 470 for military use and it has handled the worst the armed forces can dish out. Now the bright red civilian version, the 470 Sports, is available to everyone.

The heavy duty inflatable has a carrying capacity of 1800kg, or about 11 normal people, so it is perfect for diving enthusiasts or anyone else who has to move a load quickly and safely.

The 470 Heavy Duty Sports has a non-slip aluminium floor for added strength and stability and its inflatable V-shaped keel and special speed tubes provide impressive handling in all conditions.

The boat features multiple air chambers and its is available in either Duratex or Hypalon fabric -- both of which are super-tough and which offer excellent resistance to cuts and abrasions. There are double layer wear pads on those points that need extra protection.

The 470 HDS has stainless steel towing eyes so it can be used for all popular tow sports. It also has internal lifting eyes for davit lifting, spring loaded air valves and ample grab ropes for easy entry and exit by divers.

The hull is rated to take a 60hp outboard, although it will perform perfectly well with a 40hp motor.

More information on all the Quicksilver range of inflatable boats can be found at its website.
