Mercury VesselView upgrade

Mercury VesselView has now been upgraded with the introduction of VesselView 4 and VesselView 7.

Designed exclusively for Mercury engines, these new and highly-intuitive VesselView models have integrated a range of additional features including ECO-Screen, Smart Tow, NMEA gateway and Troll Control.

Both new models also display more than 30 engine parameters including fuel level and range, oil temperature and pressure, battery voltage, water depth, generator monitoring, HVAC and more.

As part of the new design, VesselView 7 features a seven-inch glass touch screen while VesselView 4 features a four-inch glass screen.

Mercury says that by making so much information so easily accessible, VesselView 4 and VesselView 7 will take your boating experience to a new level. For example, ECO-Screen provides recommendations for optimal trim and rpm adjustments to improve fuel efficiency by up to 20 per cent on selected 75hp models and above.

Boaters who enjoy waterskiing, tubing or wakeboarding will benefit from the SmartTow feature available which produces the perfect launch every time thanks to user-selectable profiles that control launch and cruising speed on Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS) models.

And anglers will appreciate Troll Control which lets the driver set and control engine trolling speed without using the throttle, maintaining steady speeds which can be increased or decreased in 10rpm increments.

For safety and peace of mind, VesselView 4 and VesselView 7 perform a diagnostic scan every time the engine is started and monitor performance constantly while underway, using simple icons and built-in intelligence to ensure the user is made aware of any necessary information.

VesselView 7, which can monitor up to four engines, can also double as a chart plotter and can support accessories such as radar and sonar, when paired with a Lowrance or Simrad chart plotter or Mercury NMEA 2000 GPS antenna.

A video input provides an option to install a back-up camera for improved vision during docking or while reversing.

VesselView 4 and VesselView 7 are both fully compatible with wide range of engines including SmartCraft-ready Mercury outboards (40hp and above), MerCruiser engines, Mercury Racing engines and Mercury QSD Diesel engines.
