Mercury Vesselview SmartCraft

Mercury Marine says that true vessel integration has arrived with the release of its all new VesselView SmartCraft display at the recent Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

The company said that VesselView is an upgrade to the standard SmartCraft user interface, providing: a larger advanced screen; colour graphics and easy-to-read displays; and access to a greater range of data.

SmartCraft is a network-based system that links the propulsion control module on each engine to a computer network providing data such as speed, rpm, cooling water temperature, water depth and fuel consumption via gauges and displays.

VesselView now takes that a giant step further, said Mercury Marine.

Its 12.5cm colour screen is visible in direct sunlight and graphics have been redesigned to make them easier to understand. It also features more buttons, so it's very user intuitive, even in rough weather or higher speeds, said Mercury.

VesselView also monitors peripheral items such as a generator, sounder, HVAC and inverter/charger.

It is compatible with the NorthStar 8000i fish finder/chart plotter/radar unit.

VesselView fits the same hole and footprint as Mercury's older System View interface.
