Mercury's long-running quality

Fifteen years of excellence

Mercury Marine has been recognised for 15 years of continuing quality service by Standards Australia (now SAI Global).

The company was first accredited under ISO 9001 in 1995 and has been proudly displaying its "5-ticks" logo ever since.

Ron Bell, Mercury's quality assurance manager, says achieving 15 years of continuous certificatiom is quite an achievement and one of which the company is justifiably proud.

"It takes constant work across the organisation, from senior managers to staff in every department to maintain ISO 9001 standards," Bell says. He addeds that Mercury achieved its initial accreditation to help open sales opportunities with the Australian Defence Force.

"Over the years quality management has evolved to become very focused on customer requirements which is ideal because Mercury is all about delivering excellent products and services to our customers and dealers," Bell said.
