Mercury releases colour accents for outboard engines

Your Mercury outboard engine can now look as individual as you do

Mercury has released a range of coloured panels in Australia allowing owners of their outboard engines to make a statement out on the water.

The new panels will come in five different hues – Redline Red, Pacific Blue, Mercury Silver, Graphite Grey and a matte Pro Black – as well as a pre-primed ready-to-paint panel ready for a coat of custom urethane paint.

The colour accent panels are available for Mercury’s 3.4-litre V6 and 4.6-litre V8 outboard engines, including the ProXS and SeaPro ranges, and selected Mercury Racing engines.

Mercury said each colour trim kit came with four painted panels, specialised adhesive, replacement Mercury and horsepower decals, as well as easy-to-follow installation instructions.

Early adopters of the new coloured panels other than the matte or unpainted panels would also receive a sample of Mercury Marine’s outboard engine polish, it said.

Mercury said the Mercury Protection Parts All-in-one Spotless Shine was formulated to protect both paint panels and decals with a “high-lustre finish to make your engine really stand out”.

The panels are priced from around $1200 depending on whether they are included as part of a new outboard engine install, or retrofitted.
