With a growing number of boat owners looking to repower as an economical way to continue to safely enjoy their time on the water, Mercury MerCruiser says it has stepped in to help.
Mercury MerCruiser said its dealers are offering Australia's boat owners guaranteed trade-ins from $1500 up to $6900 when repowering with a brand-new MerCruiser sterndrive or inboard engine.
And while the savings are a great incentive by themselves, there are many other reasons to act now, said Mercury, such as: improved safety for boat owners, family and friends; a comprehensive new engine factory warranty; up-to-the-minute technology; and, attractive per week finance options.
"There are thousands of older sterndrive-powered hulls on the water with owners who have spent ages getting their boat just the way they like it. Now after many years of service, the time has come to change the engines," said David Meehan, director MerCruiser Australia, New Zealand, Pacific.
"Repowering is the obvious alternative to give these classic hulls a new lease of life, especially when you factor in the savings you can make at the moment," said Meehan.
If all that's not enough said Mercury, then there's an added bonus, a SmartCraft gauge set that suits their boat -- either a two-dial set with SC1000 speedo and tacho, or a five-dial set SC1000 tacho, trim, voltage, engine water temperature, and oil link.
A few examples of the guaranteed trade-ins are: Sterndrive (engine replacement only) 3.0lt CARB 135hp WPS, has a recommended retail price of $10,823 and a guaranteed minimum trade-in of $1500, for a balance of $41 per week; Top end sterndrive (complete package of engine, drive and transmission) 496 MAG HO 425hp Seacore Bravo, with a recommended retail price of $49,420 has a guaranteed minimum trade-in of $6900, and a balance of $174 per week.
