Mercury and Mariner go five years

Mercury Marine said that Mercury and Mariner outboard owners will be given a two-year warranty bonus on top of the existing three-year factory warranty - to provide a total of five year's protection (conditions and exclusions apply)

Mercury Marine said this new five-year warranty program will be offered to all eligible owners of Mercury and Mariner outboard engines (except for racing and Mercury Performance Products) purchased since the start of 2007 (provided that all of the extended warranty conditions have been met).

At this stage, the program is only available for Australia, however, Mercury Marine said it is in the process of making available similar programs in other regions.

Mercury Marine is now offering five years warranty coverage for its full outboard product line (except for racing and Mercury Performance Products) on: two-stroke, four-stroke, OptiMax, and Verado.

"Quite clearly, this is fantastic for our customers across Australia," said Ken Evans, Mercury’s product director, outboards.
