As one of the biggest growth areas in pleasure boating, wakeboarding, ski-jumping and kneeboarding (along with wakesurfing) have spawned a whole fleet of new purpose-built towboats that will also be on show.
Of course, watersports are activities that families can enjoy together on lakes and rivers, both the freshwater type and saltwater coastal waterways once the water warms up.
If you're looking to get into these sports, now's the time to be inspired by some of the champions taking to the stage at Melbourne Boat Show.
The 'Talking with the Stars of Wakeboarding, Ski-Jumping and Kneeboarding' presentations will be hosted by Wakeboard Champion Aaron Bell.
