MasterCraft says it combines the best attributes of its surf-centric technologies and vessel design to launch the new X20, its first-ever boat designed from the fins up to create the perfect surf wave. The 20-footer sculpts larger surf waves typically seen only behind bigger boats yet in a practical size and with a commensurate price.
The new 20-footer is packed with features normally found in a bigger boat, including generous wrap-around lounge seats, a pickle-fork bow with plenty of room for your guests, heaps of storage and convertible transom seats.
"With the X20 we put our full attention on doing what it takes to create the ultimate surf boat. That included our science-based development of a new surf hull and combining our surf-specific feature sets together to create the perfect inboard surf wave," said Terry McNew, president and chief executive officer of MasterCraft. "Wakesurfing is a growing trend that also brings with it a whole new culture and enjoyment. We recognise this and want the experience to be as fun on the water as it is for the audience in the boat."
Through aspects of design, technology and the user interface working in harmony, MasterCraft says it has created the ultimate customisable surf experience with the X20.
MasterCraft engineers took a scientific approach to developing the ultimate surf wake by modeling and analyzing various approaches. As a result, the new hull is deeper and stouter, resulting in a phenomenal surf wave. Like on all of MasterCraft’s X Series boats, the award-winning Gen 2 Surf System is custom-fit for the X20’s hull. The surf experience can be personalised for every surfer and controlling the X20’s surf system is simple – just touch the optional seven-inch Murphy touch-screen to instantly access user profiles, fill or drain the ballast and instantly shift the wake for natural-foot or goofy riders.
Accessories and options abound for the X20. Like all MasterCraft boats, the X20 features a 5.7-litre Ilmor Marine engine. The X20 also offers exclusive tricked-out sound and entertainment system options that includes five separate speaker zones, speaker lights and even the ability to light up the wake at night.
