Renmark hosts our best wakeboardersAustralia's best Wakeboarders are heading to Renmark on the Murray River for the 2015 Nationals which begin today (April 8).
Join in to watch in excess of one hundred wakeboarders battle for the title of Australian Champion at Renmark from Wednesday April 8 to Saturday the April 11.
Renmark is a massive wakeboarding/water ski town in the heart of South Australia. Renmark has hosted the Wakeboard Australia Nationals twice in the past 10 years and with the course right in front of Club Renmark, this luxurious location for the MasterCraft 2015 Wakeboard Australia Nationals is stacking up to be massive.
The past few years have cemented Australia as the home of the best wakeboarding talent in the world and this will be Australia’s premier event.
What better way to see the world’s best Wakeboarders, than chilling at the famous Club Renmark right on the edge of the mighty Murray watching Australia’s best shred and soar off the massive wake MasterCraft's boats create. Organisers say this is the best display of extreme sport you will ever experience and will be the ideal opportunity to see why MasterCraft team riders Harley Clifford and Tony Iacconi dominate the world’s best behind the mighty MasterCraft XSTAR.
Competition will be hot in both the men’s and women’s age and open classes, we're told, with current world champions taking on challengers from all over Australia. This is one of the best events to get the selectors' attention for a place on the Australian team at the 2015 World Championships in Mexico later this year. The State teams will be fired up to battle for the chance to rip the Wakeboard Australia Team trophy out of the NSW team's grasp and make a home for the holy grail of wakeboarding for a year.
This nationals can fit all budgets. Choose to stay in a caravan park or one of the better hotels. The river-front Big4 Renmark, with its massive water park and within walking distance to the competition site is the hot favourite at the moment but get in quick.
Don't forget to plan to join in for the MasterCraft Nationals Presentation on Saturday night at the Club Renmark – this will be a sit down meal, and the only way you will be able to join in the presentation night fun.
