Maritimo's VIP FL boating tour

Maritimo owners and supporters and those who simply love boat shows and the thrill of offshore powerboat racing have the chance to join a group of likeminded people on a special, fully co-ordinated tour to the USA in November this year.

The world championship winning Maritimo Offshore Super Boat race team is taking on the best offshore powerboat racers in the world when it heads to the 35th Annual Super Boat International Key West Championships to be held in Florida from November 8.

Prior to that Maritimo will have the largest boat display in its history at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from October 30 to November 3 and those taking part in the tour will receive VIP treatment at the show.

Maritimo’s Sales and Marketing Manager Greg Haines said the tour involving both events runs for 18 days or people who simply want to watch the racing can take part in a 13 day tour.

"What we have planned for Fort Lauderdale this year is something very exciting and bigger than we have ever done before in the USA so it is the perfect chance for Maritimo owners and boat lovers generally to take part in something that is recognised as one of the World’s best marine events," he said.

"Then they can come along and cheer our guys on as we take on the best in the world."

After winning the Super Boat title in 2012, Maritimo Offshore drivers Ross (Rossco) Willaton and Peter (Muddy) McGrath will be taking on the world's best at Key West once again.

"We are very proud of our boat building skills and many of the features in our range of luxury Maritimo cruisers have been drawn from our experience in the race program," he said.

"We aim to showcase our engineering and racing talents at the Super Boat Championships in Key West and we invite all Maritimo owners, supporters and race fans to come over and cheer on the Aussies as we taken on the best in the world."

Those taking part in the tour will be assisted by a professional guide and will enjoy events like a special Maritimo Guests Reception at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, access to the race team, and an exclusive reception with the team at Key West, all transfers to and from events and VIP treatment.

They have the opportunity to add on side excursions such as trips to the Kennedy Space Centre, visits to Las Vegas or Cuba, Florida Keys sports fishing, visits to Walt Disney World at nearby Orlando and the Everglades National park.

Mr Haines said the organisers of the tour had partnered with Maritimo to put together a package that would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"For anyone who has ever had the desire to visit one of the world’s greatest boat shows and to experience the thrill of international standard offshore Super Boat racing this trip is a must," he said.
