Maritimo pleased after Sydney sales success

Strong interest across the entire range, says manufacturer

Gold Coast based manufacturer Maritimo has had its most successful Sydney International Boat Show sales result since the GFC with a range of vessels worth a total of $10 million selling during, and in the week after, the show.

The stand-out success for Maritimo at the show was the new M45 cruising motoryacht which had its world debut in Sydney and ultimately attracted four buyers signing up at the special boat show promotional price of $960,000. In addition, Maritimo has received a further order over the weekend bringing the total sales to five.

Other sales included the M58 cruising motoryacht, with its luxurious full-beam master suite, at more than $2 million, an M48 cruising motoryacht at $1.4 million, the 470 cruising motoryacht at $1.3 million, a Mustang 50 valued at $1.1 million, and at the other end of the spectrum, a Mustang 32 sports cruiser at $250,000.

Maritimo sales and marketing manager Greg Haines said the Sydney show was a great success and dealers had been told that they will have to get in quick with any more orders, after the show sales if they are to be delivered before Christmas.

"There was a real buzz of excitement in Sydney this year and we received a lot of positive comment from buyers and prospects about the quality of our finishes and the style and design of the new product," he said.

"The re-focus we have had corporately on our core strengths and a commitment to raise the bar in terms of quality, finishes, design and performance has paid off and paid off handsomely," he added.

Mr Haines said the M45 cruising motoryacht's success was in part because of the fact it can be delivered with either shaft drives or IPS without compromising the cabin layout.

"The M45 is very well priced at around $1 million and it provides a long-range cruising option in complete comfort and safety that would normally be out of the reach of many prospective boaties," he said.
