Maritimo opens new USA facility

First company-owned sales and service centre outside Australia

In an effort to cater for demand and interest in its range of luxury vessels, Australia’s Maritimo has just opened a company-owned, fully-staffed dealer support and direct sales centre in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, just near the home of the internationally-renowned boat show.

The Maritimo centre will handle new-boat sales, factory service and full customer and dealer support services.

Maritimo USA President, Dave Northrop, said the new centre is located at Marina Bay less than five minutes drive to the Fort Lauderdale Airport and on the water with immediate access to the Atlantic Ocean for sea trials and demonstrations.

"We have recognised the changing landscape for new-boat sales in the U.S. and the Americas and after record company sales at the recent Fort Lauderdale and Miami International Boat Shows we pushed ahead with our plans to establish this company-owned facility," he said.

"We intend to introduce a customer and dealer concierge program that is an elite red carpet service to receive prospective clients while showing and demonstrating our product," he added.

The Maritimo centre will accommodate two professional sales staff, two customer support and service team members and also Mr Northrop for part of his time.

Maritimo’s sales and marketing manager, Greg Haines, said the Fort Lauderdale Maritimo centre was the first company-owned operation outside of Australia.

"It will manage new and brokerage boat sales with easy viewing and sea trial capability, full on-site factory servicing with an adjacent haul-out facility, factory direct sales and customer support," he said.

"Maritimo continues to grow its market share in the USA and as our network of dealers and customers expands so too does out need to cater for them in the appropriate manner.

"Marina Bay is a great location and the airport is literally only minutes away so it is perfect for us and our dealers.”

Mr Northrop said the centre would enable Maritimo to work with independent yacht brokers and dealers, whose clients express interest in Maritimo motor yachts.
