An all-new line of Maritimo luxury cruising motor yachts is just on the horizon, with the Coomera-based boat-maker teasing the Maritimo Offshore Series.
The new model line – the “series” in the name infers that it will be a standalone generation of boats alongside the existing M-Series flybridge models, S-Series sedans and X-Series sports coupe lines already produced.
The mysterious, dark image – we've had a crack at pushing out as much detail as we can in the version of it below – hints that the new Offshore Series will be significantly bigger than other models in the line-up.
The image reveals the series is likely to include an enclosed flybridge with a small aft deck space enclosed under the sweeping roofline and hanging over the top of a long, wide, roomy and uncluttered cockpit space.
It also appears that the saloon integrates into the cockpit more fluidly than other Maritimo models.
Maritimo said the official reveal of the new model would take place tomorrow.
Upgrades to Maritimo’s facilities in 2019 included building larger sheds on an expanded part of the Coomera-based factory, with the yacht-maker saying at the time it would allow larger boats – up to around 30 metres (100 feet) long – to be built on-site.
Maritimo’s current largest boats are the 21-metre flagships, the three-level Maritimo M70 and two-level S70. It has produced a standalone flagship, the Maritimo M73, in the past.
In theory, the new model teased in a taste of what is to come could stretch to around 25 metres, or more than 80 feet.
No other details were revealed ahead of tomorrow’s launch.
The new reveal takes place ahead of the 2021 Palm Beach International Boat Show, which opens in the US later this week.
Maritimo will be at the show, along with its X50 and X60 sedans. Maritimo recently gained approval to sell and service Scania marine engines in its products bound for the US market, meaning its X Performance line of amped-up X-Series motor yachts can sell in North America.
