Maritimo offers more customisations

Customisations all the rage with Maritimo buyers looking for that personal touch

No, you're not dreaming. Welcome to the latest customisations completed by Maritimo.

Well-heeled buyers in the market for a dreamboat are hitting up the Gold Coast boatbuilder with a long list of customisations these days and just about anything is possible to sate their needs, including plumbed and tapped soda-water fountains in the galley.

As the luxury boat market becomes bespoke and tailored, buyer are seeking to individualise their upmarket motoryachts and it seems imagination is the only limit these days.

Maritimo Marketing and International Sales Manager, Greg Haines, said provided the requests do not have any negative impact on a vessel’s structural integrity or seaworthiness then the company is happy to consider them.

The days of simply adding a gyro or additional wine fridges are passé with buyers now looking at much grander additions.

"In recent months we have seen buyers adding such things as a Steinway piano in the flybridge, a running machine built into the floor, a chandelier in the saloon, dive compressors and tank filling stations and a gun cabinet.

"In addition, some of the latest galley’s would be at home on My Kitchen Rules with some even plumbed and tapped with soda water fountains," he said.

"We are happy to look at all requests providing the addition doesn’t impact on the overall integrity of the vessel.

'The sky is the limit really and we are the only production boat manufacturer who is capable of delivering such requests."

He said the company’s state-of-the-art production facility in the Gold Coast Marine Precinct was world class and enabled changes to be made to production vessels in most instances.

Haines said one recent M65 purchaser had added more than $1 million in optional extras to his $2.9 million vessel.

"With sales being made not just locally but internationally, we get specific requests that relate to the needs and wants of owners in a variety of geographical locations," he said.

"However, the running machine and the piano were stand outs I must say." More at www.maritimo.com.au.
