Maritimo, is set to increase its product range this year with its M65 cruising motoryacht and a new M48 cruising motoryacht both scheduled for their public debut at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.
Plans are also on the drawing board for an S48 cruising motoryacht, which will be released later this year.
Maritimo sales and marketing manager, Greg Haines, said the M65 had proven a hit already with five vessels sold, the majority before the moulds were even produced.
He said the company was hoping for similar success with the M48, the first of which is in build at the Maritimo Coomera factory.
"The new M48 is a magnificent boat and we believe it will hit the sweet spot for boat owners moving up from smaller vessels who are looking for all the facilities and benefits of our larger vessels in a more compact package with a starting price of $1.23 million," he said.
Haines said the M48 will feature a full-beam master suite, an enclosed flybridge, internal staircase and an innovative tender garage which sees the transom and part of the aft cockpit lift up on hydraulic struts to reveal a large under-deck space for a tender and outboard as well as water sports equipment.
The M48 has walk-around decks forward to the front windscreen where there is a step up onto the large front deck which is also capable of taking a davit and storing a larger tender.
"We raised the height of the front deck to provide more headroom inside in the forward cabin and the second cabin to starboard which can be set up as a sleeping cabin with bunks or used as a utility room," he said.
"We are designing this cabin as a utility room, but it can be set up as additional sleeping quarters if an owner desires."
Mr Haines said there were several unique features to the M48’s accommodation offering.
"We have designed the front cabin in a way that provides a lot of space between the cabin door and the foot of the bed which gives guests a generous dressing area. Something that is lacking in many boats of this size,” he said.
"We have also incorporated a pull out sofa bed in the flybridge which essentially then provides another totally private and separate cabin."
He said the M48 will be powered by two Cummins QSC 600s and would have 3000 litres of fuel giving it a range of approximately 400 nautical miles.
An 11KVA Onan generator would be standard.
"We will provide the full upmarket package that is now pretty much the norm on the M58 and that includes Wenge timbers, B&O sound system, up specked icemaker, fresh water and salt water deck wash system and superior finishes and fitout," Haines said.
