Maritimo has used the 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to launch three new models – the M60 flybridge motor yacht alongside the M600 Offshore flybridge and S600 Offshore sedan.
All three new models were flagged last year, with the extended-cockpit Maritimo M600 Offshore officially unveiled at last year’s Sanctuary Cove show.
The Gold Coast luxury motor yacht maker added the Maritimo S600 Offshore sedan and the Maritimo M60 later in the year as part of a new-model development program that saw eight new boats added to the fleet.
The three new models are believed to be the biggest number of new luxury motor yachts launched at Sanctuary Cove by a single brand.
The Maritimo M60 is the model that launched the brand in 1994, so the new one that replaces it needed to be special.
“Instantly recognisable as a Maritimo, the new M60 flybridge motor yacht sets new benchmarks for available deck space within its class,” Maritimo says.
“Featuring Maritimo’s brand-defining enclosed flybridge skylounge with internal staircase, the climate-controlled area provides the ultimate comfort for any long-distance passage.”
The new Maritimo M60 features a large 23.0-square-metre flybridge featuring 12 square metres of enclosed space if the bi-fold doors are closed, as well as 11.0 square metres of outdoor bridgedeck.
Downstairs, the Maritimo M60 has a large upper cockpit leading down to an equally large “adventure deck” that includes a hydraulic swim platform.
The Maritimo M60 includes three staterooms with two ensuites, with the king master stateroom taking full advantage of the boat’s 5.2-metre beam.
The Maritimo M600 Offshore, meanwhile, is the first of two new Offshore models featuring extended cockpits for owners who enjoy more time outdoors than in.
“With a long list of orders already secured for the Offshore flybridge variant since the Offshore series was first digitally revealed last year, the M600 Offshore now takes the mantle of ultimate bluewater offshore cruising flybridge motor yacht,” Maritimo says.
It says the M600 Offshore has broad appeal both as a state-of-the-art fishing platform, with its specialty open-water fishing attributes, or as a “long-range, high-volume three stateroom, two ensuite luxury cruising motor yacht capable of inter-continental passage making”.
A big feature is the extended offshore cockpit, which owners can use as anything from a platform for diving to setting the Maritimo M600 Offshore up as a serious offshore game fisher. All the while it retains Maritimo’s cruising flybridge heritage.
“The offshore cockpit provides an incredible 10.2 square metres of open deck space, featuring 2.4 meters of open deck along the centreline between the aft transom wells and the forward-mounted island entertainment module, providing ample area for a sport fishing chair if desired,” it says.
The cockpit contains two large wing lockers, transom wells, fish boxes, an enclosed transom gate, rod holders and flush gunwale capping that won’t snag a line, making it well suited to game fishing.
A large lazarette below the cockpit floor, accessed via an electrically opening hatch or a smaller day hatch, is ideal for storing gear including diving equipment.
For those who like the idea of the extended cockpit but don’t need the extra space of the flybridge but enjoy single-level living, Maritimo has the S600 Offshore on show for the first time.
“The new S600 Offshore Motor Yacht combines the functionality of the offshore cockpit and open water fishing practicality, in combination with a single level sedan design,” Maritimo says.
Rather than leave the low profile sedan roof as a feature, Maritimo has built in access so that the rooftop space can be utilised for storing kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, or even a tender.
The space is accessed via a ladder in the cockpit, and the extra storage option means the transom of the Maritimo S600 Offshore remains uncluttered and accessible.
Maritimo lead designer Tom Barry-Cotter said the brand’s three global launches at SCIBS were a first for the show.
“We are very excited to be displaying these magnificent vessels for the first time and we are extremely confident that visitors to our display will also recognize them as truly world-class luxury motor yachts,” Barry-Cotter said.
The 2022 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show closes on Sunday.
