Maritime Training goes Digital

Maritime education experts from the Academy of Maritime Training will be on hand at the Melbourne Boat Show in July and the Sydney International Boat Show, August 3 to 8, to showcase its Coastal Navigation interactive CD-ROM and Learning to Sail (For Adul

The academy's principal, Rowland Short, will be at the Boat Books stand at the events to take show-goers through the academy's new products.

Coastal Navigation is PC and Mac compatible and comes with a free chartplotter and digital charts so students can practice both electronic and chart-based navigation.

The academy's interactive CD-ROMs are used by most Australian maritime training facilities, including the Coastguard, water police, and Australian Search and Rescue.

Learning to Sail (For Adults) is PAL and NTSC compatible and retails for $49, while Coastal Navigation retails for $99. Both products are distributed throughout Australia by Boat Books. For more information, phone (07) 3229 6427.
