Marine Riley has launched an ambassadorship program for Pursuit sports boat owners in an effort to make the Florida-built sports boats as easy – and fun – to own as possible.
Sydney-based Marine Riley is the distributor for Pursuit in Australia and New Zealand. Customer experience officer Mark Riley said the brand’s buyers were a “certain type” that responded well to the ambassador program.
“They only want the best, high quality, style and a boat to be proud of,” Riley said. “A key element is also an easy boating lifestyle.
“Pursuit boats provide the best, excellent quality and timeless style, so we wanted to create the rest for perfect boat ownership,” he said. “Our new Pursuit Boats ambassador program does just that.”
Riley said the Pursuit brand was about “creating stress-free boating and helping our clients build lifelong memories with their families and guests”.
The ambassador program, which is included in the purchase price of the boat, rolls out perks such as a free monthly wash-down, discount fuel, on-call boat advice, and a help line.
However, another large part of the program is organised trips along the eastern Australian coastline.
“The big one [is] to the Whitsundays where we either drive or truck the boats to the Whitsundays then do day trips fishing and snorkeling and stay around on the islands at night,” Riley said. “We want to help our clients build those unforgettable memories.”
Marine Riley is also flying buyers to the US to see the boats being built as stocks of the craft build up. “Pursuit is currently achieving record sales across it’s range so getting boats in Australia has been hard, but as of Christmas, Marine Riley will have a beautiful selection available to view,” Riley said.
The Pursuit boat range includes centre, side and dual-console offshore and inshore fishing and sports boats ranging from 18 to 38 feet (5.5-11.6m). The brand was first introduced into the US in the late 1970s as a line of fishing boats.
Last year, the boat maker expanded its Florida-based production line to increase output to meet growing demand for its products.
