Marina Conference

The Marina Association of Australia's (MAA) international marina conference 'Marinas 2007' aims to address various issues affecting the marine industry

The Marina Association of Australia's (MAA) international marina conference 'Marinas 2007', to be held in Surfers Paradise, is set to cover every facet of the industry, including vital environmental issues, marina marketing and management issues.

The conference is scheduled for May 2007 and is  to be held in conjunction with the New Zealand Marina Operators' Association. It will be held at the five-star Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort.

MAA president Jeff d'Albora said the conference would table a number of objectives aimed at enhancing the industry.

"Other vitally important objectives include the promotion of new and current methods employed in marina management and operation, and the promotion of new products and other advancements relevant to the industry worldwide," he said.

More than 200 delegates attended the 2005 conference, which was held in New Zealand.
