Mandurah Boat Show is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever this year with many manufacturers and importers showing off their newest and best creations from October 11-13.
Mandurah is certainly the largest and most impressive boat show in the West with its expansive floating marina, generous hardstand areas and lots of entertainment for all the family.
But if it’s big boats you want to see, you won’t be disappointed. Here’s just a taste of what will be on show this year:
Riviera is going to be one of the highlights with the stunning 75 Enclosed Flybridge. The 75’s immense volume allows for a four-cabin, four-bathroom layout. The master stateroom is king-size, the VIP stateroom for’ard is queen-size and the guest cabins, port and starboard, are twin-berth with a third pull-down Pullman-style berth.
As one would expect, the main saloon is opulent with rich textures, beautiful finishes and subtle lighting. There’s a gourmet kitchen and vast cockpit for entertaining plus a penthouse-style flybridge which is air-conditioned and features a sunroof for all-weather boating. A must-see at the Show.
Riviera will also be displaying the 5800 Sport yacht and the 53 enclosed flybridge.
Maritimo will have plenty of other examples of the company's luxury long-range cruisers and sister brand Mustang will be showing off the new 43 sports cruiser with twin diesel power and shaft drives.
Sunseeker says that the Manhattan 73 is defined by its ingenious use of space. The vessel enjoys increased volume not just due to its length but also by courtesy of the broad beam that's carried lower in the hull. This enables a third full-size double stateroom on the lower deck, plus plenty more headroom throughout.
The main saloon is now on one single, sweep-through level, providing a vast entertainment space. Finally, for ultimate manoeuvrability, there's the option of joystick control, dramatically simplifying docking.
Sunseeker will also be displaying four other motor yachts including, direct from the Sydney International Boat Show, the WA release of the 53 Manhattan.
A new addition to the Show this year is from Seagreen Marine. The Formula Icon 54 should make a big splash. New in WA, the Formula Icon 54 combines form, function and performance to create a vessel which can only be described as simply superb, we're told.
Another first to Mandurah is the Beneteau Antares. Suitable for the family, safe and comfortable to live on, the Antares are perfect for relaxing and enjoying leisure activities at sea.
In addition to the big boat collection, this year's Show will have more new releases than we’ve ever seen at Mandurah.
Some of the new release boats include the new design Quintrex, the re-release of the Webster Twin Fisher and Striper Boats, new releases from SeaRay and many more.
The kids can win prizes in the casting competition or take a ride in an electric boat in a specially-designed pool.
As with previous years, there will also be supervised kayak rides off the beach, or for the more adventurous, for the first time there will tinnies with 5hp outboards that the children can drive themselves.
The Department of Transport will also be there with lifejacket game that engages the kids with a presentation that’s both interactive and educational.
Of course boatsales and BoatPoint will be there with helpful advice on buying or selling boats, and our popular givaways for the kids.
