Mandurah Boat Show looms!
It's a boating spectacular at this year's show in OctoberThe organisers of the 2012 Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show say it is sure to remain in people’s memories as one of the most exciting events on the calendar.
Each year, the Show brings together an amazing collection of boats -- luxury cruisers, yachts, ski boats, fishing boats, dinghies and kayaks -- plus all the latest in accessories and electronics, fishing gear, camping gear and more.
This year, there’ll be more new releases on show than ever before including the new-design Quintrex, plus other boats such as the re-release of the Webster Twin Fisher and Striper Boats, and many more.
However, visitors to the Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show know that it is more than a trade show, and this year the entertainment has been taken up a level to include fun attractions, special guests, activities and fun for the whole family.
Show Director Peter Woods said he was excited about this year's show: "What we have always tried to promote at the Mandurah Boat Show is that Western Australia has amazing waterways, and we should all be encouraged to get out there and use them," he said.
Mr Woods said the industry has faced a few difficulties in recent times, and it was up to events such as these to encourage and promote boating and water leisure activities, and get more people involved. Getting out there!
The theme of the 2012 Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show is all about encouraging people to get involved and to try something new. The Show’s entertainment has been designed with this idea in mind and visitors are sure to be impressed by the new and improved features of the 2012 Show.
As in previous years, the Western Angler Fishing Stage will be a huge attraction. The Engel Aquatank will be there and fishing demonstrations will be held continually across the weekend. Hodgie the Barefoot Fisherman will be back, plus fishing writers Scott Coghlan and Mike Roennfeldt. There’ll be fish filleting demonstrations, info on lures and knot tying, and so much more!
A new boating demonstration area will be set up, where audiences can come along to watch regular boating demos and learn the basics of how to drive a boat. The Department of Transport will be there to give presentations and information on boat safety and skipper’s tickets.
It all happens this October. The Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show is now in its 12th year and is held at the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club at the award winning Mandurah Ocean Marina.
The Show is the third biggest boat show in Australia, with more than 200 exhibitors annually displaying more than 650 boats; and attracting 20,000 boating enthusiasts over the three days.
