Man thrown from inflatable

Crew sustains head injuries, driver done for PCA after weekend boating accident on Port Hacking
A man sustained a fractured skull after he was thrown from a boat in the Port Hacking River in Sydney’s south on the weekend.
About 8pm Saturday (October 11, 2014) two men were travelling in a four-metre inflatable boat with an outboard motor, when it appears a male passenger was thrown from the vessel.
The 30-year-old man was retrieved from the water and people on nearby vessels assisted in rendering first aid. The man was transported to Yowie Bay boat ramp and taken to St George Hospital by an awaiting ambulance.
At last report the man wasin a stable condition with a fractured skull.
The 25-year-old driver of the vessel was subjected to a breath test at the scene which proved positive. He was taken to Miranda Police Station for a breath analysis produced a reading of 0.128.
He was issued with a field court attendance notice for middle range PCA under the Marine Safety Act.
The vessel has been seized for further examination and investigations are continuing.
