The all-new Malibu Response TXR may be stealing all the limelight, but there are plenty of running changes in store for the rest of the boat-maker’s 2019 model year line-up.
Malibu Boats Australia also unveiled the new Malibu Wakesetter 22 LSV, which replaces the Malibu Wakesetter 22 VLX.
“The all-new 22 LSV offers maximum space in a perfectly sized package,” Malibu said in a statement. “The 22-foot length allows for easy towing and garage storage and includes all the accolades the LSV family offers.”
That includes “luxurious” seating for up to 14 people spread across the rear and what Malibu describes as “a beautiful traditional-bow design with easy access to the spacious front lounge area”.
The 2019 Malibu 22 LSV also takes the game further by including a fresh-look interior with a redesigned helm seat and a rear-facing, fold-out bench seat for spectators.
“We are very excited to introduce the 22 LSV into our 2019 Australian line-up,” Malibu Boats Australia general manager Price taylor said. “With the 23 LSV being the best-selling towboat year after year, the 22 LSV takes that pedigree and packs it into a perfectly sized boat that families of all sizes will enjoy.”
Other changes to the Malibu line-up for 2019 include the latest Power Wedge III update that generates more lift, allowing the boat to get on the plane faster and generating a bigger wave. It comes with an integrated surf pipe.
The GX (pronounced G-10) tower was introduced in the US in late August, and replaces the G4. Offered on selected Wakesetter models, the aluminium tower can be raised and lowered in nine seconds, and can come stacked with board racks, speakers and a bimini.
The helm seat now features a more direct driving position and the driver gains a bow camera. Different vinyls cover the seats, and there are different color choices and paint schemes available.
Pricing for the 2019 model year line-up is yet to be announced.
