Mahe 36 stokes interest

The release of Fountaine Pajot's new Mahe 36 compact-class catamaran is generating a lot of interest, according to the company

Three orders have already been taken in the Asia Pacific region for the Mahe 36, with the first due to land in Australia and New Zealand in January 2007.

Priced from $392,000, the design of the Mahe 36 is said to meet three main objectives: to be affordable while offering excellent value for money, be ergonomic and comfortable, and to possess outstanding sea performance with centralised handling.

The Mahe 36 features a sheltered open-plan cockpit, an uncluttered deck layout, and a raised helm station with a 360-degree view.

It is available in a two-cabin and three-cabin version.
