The 2015 Mackay Boat Show, presented by Marine Queensland, is back for another big weekend of fun water-based activities at the Mackay Marina on June 13 and 14.
Run in conjunction with the Mackay leg of the Offshore Superboat Race, this free-entry community event has something for everyone in the family, we're told, with a packed program, from 9.00am to 5.00pm each day.
Now in it’s fifth year, the two-day show will see a number of first-time exhibitors and old favourites returning to showcase their latest marine products, including boats, jet skis, ATVs, as well as a range of outdoors and lifestyle products.
On top of this, the 2015 program will feature live talks and on water presentations, test-drive opportunities, huge product displays, live entertainment and the Yamaha Supertank.
There is plenty to excite the little ones as well with an educational Kids Zone, thanks to North Queensland Bulk Ports and 2 Bent Rods. Children from aged four and above will be able to learn hands-on about casting and yabbi pumping, as well as experience the marine touch-and-feel tanks.
Marine Queensland, CEO, Don Jones says the Mackay Boat Show has always been a popular event in the region's calendar: "It’s an opportunity to showcase the recreational boating and fishing lifestyle with the perfect backdrop of the Mackay Marina. The Offshore Superboat races add to the festival atmosphere enjoyed by families from near and far," he said.
Whether you're a marine enthusiast, a boating novice or simply looking for the perfect spot to watch the Offshore Superboat Race with your family and friends, the 2015 Mackay Boat Show is the place to be in June.
