Launched at the contemporary Saatchi art gallery in London, the Aeroboat S6 is an exclusive British concept boat designed to offer a "superior and regal experience at sea."
The daring design by Claydon Reeves and naval architect BMT Nigel Gee builds on the vanguard Aeroboat SV12, an aluminium and carbon 50-footer powered by a fully marinised Rolls-Royce V12 Merlin engine, which was launched back in 2013.
The new Aeroboat S6 is a 65ft (concept-for-now) yacht that uses the new V10 version of the Series 2000 MTU M96 engines for 40 knots and a 400nm range presumably at lesser speeds.
The boat will have Rolls-Royce joystick and throttles in addition to the water-jet main propulsion units.
Measuring 19.83m, the S6 has been designed to sleep up to four in a convertible designer below-deck space, carry a maximum crew of 12 in a distinct teardrop cockpit under a hardtop, and carry a tender and toys up to 3.8m in an especially big garage with extendable swim platform.
There are radical deck wings for more space up top, while the shower room, dayhead and galley are said to be of a size more commonly found on superyachts.
Aeroboat says it's dedicated to hand-crafting remarkable boat, finished to the highest standard, without compromise. There are five boats on the drawing board from 55-100ft.
Style and performance are key factors of every model, as is a personalised consumer experience, Aeroboat enthuses.
If you want to discover the full scope of the S6 capabilities and customisation, and further explore the essence of the Aeroboat brand, clients are welcomed to the newly opened Aeroboat headquarters in Kensington, London, but it's by appointment only.
But with concept boats with auto tie-ins like Aeroboat and Rolls-Royce cropping up more often, there almost seems to be a business in selling virtual dreamboats at cocktail events these days.
