Lowrance has announced the release of the latest and largest in its series of Elite fishfinder/chartplotter displays, the Elite-9 CHIRP. The Elite-9 CHIRP series features a nine-inch widescreen display for enhanced viewing ability especially in sunlight.
The Elite CHIRP line-up now includes four-inch, five-inch, seven and nine-inch fishfinder/chartplotter models, as well as stand-alone fishfinder displays, with all Elite CHIRP models producing and displaying multiple CHIRP sonar frequency settings from a single Lowrance Skimmer transducer.
The Elite-9 CHIRP sonar provides improved target resolution and superior noise rejection for clearer, easy-to-see baitfish and game fish targets.
By displaying two user-selected ranges simultaneously, anglers can easily observe better target separation at greater depths and mark fish clearly at higher boat speeds. When combined with the Lowrance HDI Skimmer transducer, the Elite-9 CHIRP can also display a DownScan Imaging view of the area beneath the boat, for picture-like views of fish-holding structure.
The Elite-9 CHIRP features a highly accurate, built-in GPS antenna along with a basemap of the region. A micro SD card can also be purchased to display Navionics and Jeppesen C-Map Max-N charts. All Elite-9 CHIRP units are compatible with the Insight Genesis map-creation service, which allows users to make custom, contour maps from recorded sonar logs, including bottom-hardness and vegetation overlays, as well as Insight Genesis Social Map community chart sharing.
The Elite-9 CHIRP can be purchased from authorised Lowrance dealers for $2099 (83/200 kHz – with Gold Navionics Map) and $2199 (50/200 kHz – with Gold Navionics Map). For more information go to: www.lowrance.com
