Lomac RIBs lock in Australian arrival

Lomac RIBs to land in Australia with three models launching the brand here

Italian rigid inflatable boat brand Lomac has arrived in Australia, with three new models available for delivery in the next two months.

The boats, equipped with a fibreglass hull in between the tubes, are being brought into Australia via Sydney-based sail and powerboat specialist Flagstaff Marine in partnership with Queensland-based Technica Rib Marine.

The first three boats landing here will be the Lomac IN 600 fitted with a 100hp outboard engine, the Lomac Adrenalina 7.0 fitted with a 225hp outboard engine, and the Lomac Granturismo 8.5 fitted with twin 200hp outboard engines.

Lomac IN 600

The Lomac IN 600 is a mid-range model in the IN range, measuring 6.1 metres long and with a 2.53-metre beam – the internal beam between the 58mm diameter tubes is 1.36 metres.

Standard equipment on this model runs to a cushioned console with windshield and handrail, driver’s seat, cockpit table, a stern sun deck with an extension and a boarding ladder, an automatic bilge pump, and a bow roller with anchor lock.

The boat is also fitted with a 94-litre fuel tank to give the Lomac IN 600 plenty of useable range.

Factory options for this boat include a bow sundeck, a freshwater shower, a Fusion audio system, Garmin GPSMap 992 multifunction touchscreen, and various bimini options including one mounted to a roll bar.

Flagstaff Marine has priced this boat from $77,000.

Lomac Adrenalina 7.0

The Lomac Adrenalina 7.0 is the entry-level model in the more premium RIB range.

Measuring 6.8 metres long and 2.9 metres wide with an internal width of 1.51 metres, it uses 54mm diameter tubes and rated to carry up to 14 people.

Standard equipment on this model includes a premium skipper’s chair, a console with a lockable sliding door, aft freshwater shower, premium upholstery, a two-person transom platform hydraulic steering, electric windlass with 7.5kg anchor and 25 metres of chain, a telescopic stainless steel boarding ladder, and a 220-litre fuel tank.

A chemical toilet is available for the console, as is an electric-flush toilet. You can also ask for underwater lights to be fitted.

Optional electronics include a Garmin VHF radio, Fusion audio system and a Garmin GPSMap 8410 xsv touchscreen chartplotter.

Flagstaff Marine has priced the Lomac Adrenalina 7.0 from $191,000.

Lomac Granturismo 8.5

The Lomac Granturismo 8.5 is the smallest model in the high-end performance RIB range.

However, even though it measures 8.0 metres long and 3.23 metres wide (internal width between the 54cm diameter tubes is 1.76m) it can only carry 12 passengers as it comes equipped with the extra weight of either a single 350hp outboard engine or twin 200hp outboard engines.

The result of all that horsepower is blistering performance, with a top speed somewhere north of 50 knots.

The Lomac Granturismo 8.5’s centre console is equipped with a lockable sliding door leading down to a cabin with two beds, and a separate wet head.
