Marquis Yachts, the maker of the Lexus LY650, has announced a $US3.74 million ($A5.4 million) price tag for people keen to own the first-ever Lexus-badged luxury sports yacht.
A more premium version of the Lexus LY650 will cost from $US4.85 million, Marquis has announced.

The boat is having its first official showing at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Marquis said in a press release that four buyers had already shown interest in buying the boat, including three in the US and one in Japan. The first sale was made via a Florida-based dealer.
"We are thrilled with the reception of the [Lexus] LY650 and look forward to delivering this luxury vessel to a global audience," Marquis Yachts chief executive Rob Parmentier said.
"In our partnership with Lexus we feel that we achieved the fullest expression of our craftsmanship and we are excited to share the boat with the public at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show."
The sports yacht, which has spun off a 2017 powerboat concept, officially arrives in the same year as the 30th anniversary of the launch of Toyota’s luxury vehicle arm. It is part of a wider plan to widen the Lexus brand beyond just road vehicles.
Lexus has confirmed the Lexus LY650 will be the first of a family of boats that will wear the car-maker’s logo.
The Lexus LY650 is a 65-foot flybridge cruiser built by Wisconsin-based Marquis Yachts, and, in standard form, is powered by twin Volvo Penta D3 IPS 1050 inboard engines.
A full complement of Lexus yachts is already under development, which will take over as the premium models in the Marquis range. Marquis’ existing yachts will become a mid-level tier, slotting in between the high-end Lexus-badged boats and the entry-level Carver range.
