Power and sailing catamaran builder Leopard has confirmed the Australian launch of the new 43 Powercat design at the Gold Coast International Marine Expo from May 19-22.
Expo's Emma Brown said the mid-sized Leopard 43 PC is a welcome new addition to the growing list of marine displays at Expo 2016.
“Expo will feature everything from large and luxurious motor and sailing yachts to Queensland’s largest showcase of trailer boats, engines, accessories, equipment, jet skis and kayaks,” she said.
“We will also have live family-fun attractions and interactive demonstrations every 15 minutes across our giant 3km Expo display circuit and thousands of free car-parking spaces – only at Expo at Coomera in May.”
Wayne Richards from Leopard Catamarans said the new Leopard 43 Power Cat was impressiv: “This model is what our customers have been waiting for – it’s exceptional value,” he said.
“She offers great fuel range at cruising speed, a lot of outdoor space including an enormous flybridge which can be fully enclosed. She is economical, easy to handle, and incredibly spacious with 27 per cent more interior volume than her predecessor, the Leopard 39 PC.”
There is also a large aft cockpit and access door from the main saloon to the forward platform of the boat.
“The access door increases ventilation for the interior of the vessel and makes getting around the catamaran even easier,” says Wayne. “The stepped hull design of the 43 PC also adds interior volume above the waterline, allowing for roomier three or four cabin accommodation in the hulls without sacrificing the performance of the yacht."
“With narrower hulls and less wetted surface below the waterline, the Leopard 43 PC reaches an impressive maximum speed of 23+ knots and maintains exceptional fuel efficiency consistent with all Leopard power catamaran models.”
In addition to private ownership through Leopard Catamarans, the 43 PC is also available through The Moorings Yacht Ownership Program that pays the owner’s monthly boat payment, all operating expenses and allows access to The Moorings worldwide destinations utilising 6-12 weeks of owner use per year.
