Designed as all-purpose runabouts from 17-22ft, the SEi range is available in a variety of models, including outboard and inboard-powered versions, an open bow and Ski 'n Fish models.
The entry-level SEi 186 (also available in 206 and 226 versions) has been designed for first-time boaters looking for a complete package for active days on the water, whether it be skiing, cruising or playing with towables.
All the SEi models ride on a Delta Conic hull with 20° deadrise at the transom. The patented design features a sharp entry forward to deliver the smooth ride of a deep-vee hull. Its wide flat chines and conic profile aft help the boat plane quickly and remain stable, the company says.
The 5.46m x 2.37m hull is based on a fibreglass stringer system that incorporates the bulkheads, fuel tank supports and engine mounts.
The standard seating layout includes back-to-back lounge seats and jump seats aft. The optional Sport package has bucket seats forward and a bench seat with sundeck aft.
A lower bulkhead behind the bench seat provides access to storage areas along the side of the engine. A wide underfloor locker can accommodate most ski gear including wakeboards.
The newly-designed helm features a full set of analog instruments in a moulded dash panel, while the stereo, drinkholder and storage tray are located in a side console below the throttle. The port console holds a built-in icebox and glove box.
The curved walk-through windscreen leads to forward seating in the bow area, taking the seating capacity onboard to 10 people.
Features such as the integrated swim platform and ski tow hook are sure to appeal to the skiers in the family. A suntop, stored underseat at the transom, is standard fare.
A choice of MerCruiser or Volvo Penta power from 135-230hp is offered on the SEi 186.
