
The Lancelin Ocean Classic, Australia’s longest-running windsurfing event will be held on January15-18.
Now in its thirtieth year, the four-day event will bring together professionals and amateurs who will fight it out for supremacy and a competitive prize pool across a range of windsurfing, kite-surfing, and jet-skiing events. The event is part-funded by Tourism WA and boasted an entry list of more than 4000 competitors in 2014.
The Lancelin Ocean Classic also features the 25km Ledge Point to Lancelin Windsurfing Marathon which currently holds the Guinness World Record for Longest windsurfing race.
This year marks the 30th Ledge Point to Lancelin windsurf marathon and 2015 will be the biggest in the events history with the addition of new sports, new races, a festival, sponsors arena, and much more for visitors to enjoy.
Lancelin offers some of the world's best windsurfing conditions and the beautiful coastline and pristine waters have made this beachside town a pilgrimage destination for windsurfers travelling from all over the world.

The popularity of kite surfing continues to grow and the Lancelin Ocean Classic continues to provide kite surfers the opportunity to showcase their talents across two disciplines.
The Ledge Point to Lancelin race began as a windsurfing marathon, started by a group of enthusiasts who in 1986. The famous closing party and festival have become as popular as the Lancelin Ocean Classic, with all of the local community getting involved.
