
Marine Queensland has teamed up with Yachting Queensland and the Discover Sailing program to offer free sailing experiences for children at the 2015 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show from March 6 to 8 at Manly Harbour, Brisbane.
"The Discover Sailing Tackers program is a great way to get kids out on the water and educate them about the sailing program in a safe and controlled environment," said Ben Callard, the Executive Officer of Yachting Queensland.
"Yachting Queensland and Discover Sailing are thrilled to be attending the 2015 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show and it’s great that the organisers have bought the show to the water where we can educate young children and adults in the environment of the industry, it’s perfect." Callard said.
In addition to free sailing experiences, there will also be an interactive Kids Zone, with a variety of fun, water-based games, activities and entertainment across the three-day program.
The Yamaha Supertank will also be on display, giving spectators a fish eye view of the world that lives beneath their boats and fishing gear.
Fishing experts Brett Thomson and Michael Cooke will host demonstrations from aluminium boats inside the Supertank for all to see. They will show spectators how fish react to different types of fishing lures currently on the market.
The 2015 Brisbane Tinnie and Tackle Show is guaranteed to be a fun day for the whole family.
