Kenny Rogers hits the Broadwater
Country star enjoys a day out on a Maritimo during a brief tourSinging legend Kenny Rogers, known to millions of fans around the world as the voice of the hit song The Gambler, was on a sure bet this week when he spent a day relaxing on The Broadwater compliments of Maritimo.
On the Gold Coast for two sellout shows at Jupiter’s Theatre the Grammy Award-winning country music star jumped at the chance to enjoy a relaxed day cruising aboard a Maritimo 58 Cruising Motoryacht.
Maritimo had a connection with colleagues associated with the touring company, which secured the singer and arranged his visit to Australia and when approached leapt at the opportunity to play hosts for the day.
Maritimo sales and marketing manager, Greg Haines, said the singer was extremely relaxed, easy going and loved his day on the water.
"We went up to Millionaires’ Mile just inside the Jumpinpin Bar and the combination of the clean, clear water and the pristine sand dunes beyond certainly impressed him," said Haines.
"Kenny was very easy going and said he loved being in Australia and on the Gold Coast. It was a pleasure to host him for the day.”
