Kawasaki ups Jet Ski range warranty to 5 years
Kawasaki's new five-year warranty across its Jet Ski personal watercraft range leaves rivals in its wakeKawasaki Motors Australia has introduced a five-year warranty across its entire Jet Ski personal watercraft range as it attempts to snare more sales in the fast-growing segment.
The new five-year warranty, which replaces the former three-year standard, came into effect on June 1 and applies to all new Kawasaki Jet Ski models sold through authorised dealers.

“The Kawasaki Jet Ski product range has been an essential part of the Kawasaki brand for 47 years,” Kawasaki Motors Australia said.
“The Jet Ski has captured imaginations and pushed Kawasaki evolution through the development of supercharged engines and four-stroke stand-up products.
“In a ground-breaking initiative, Kawasaki will lead the industry and implement a five-year warranty on all new Jet Ski products,” it said.
“The five-year warranty will apply to all jet ski units imported by KMA and sold through the Kawasaki dealership network.”
The move puts pressure on rivals Yamaha and Sea-Doo to follow. Yamaha currently offers a three-year warranty across its jet ski range while Sea-Doo offers a default two-year warranty, although occasionally increases it to three years to help stimulate sales.
The Kawasaki Jet Ski range runs to six models with a mix of supercharged and normally aspirated engine options, and the only stand-up jet ski on the Australian market, the Kawasaki Jet Ski SX-R.
Kawasaki is also offering up to $1500 cashback on selected Jet Ski models as part of its current promotion.
