Just Ride Series kicks off

The Malibu -- HSV Just Ride series kicked off in early February, with a bumper crowd checking out the latest offerings from Malibu Boats and Holden Special Vehicles.

The National Water Sports Centre at Carrum in Victoria played host to a day of demos and entertainment for the series, courtesy of Regal Marine and Booran Holden.

Malibu had five different models on the water, including its new 2006 Wakesetter VLX.

HSV showed off its new Malloo, including the 6.0lt LS2 powerplant.

This vehicle was coupled to a colour-matched Wakesetter, and became the centre piece of a display that also included the Limited Edition Coupe GTO LE and ClubSport.

The series involved the two manufactures touring the country to give current and potential customers the chance to look at, touch, feel, and ride their latest offerings.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to rub shoulders with Malibu customers and share their enthusiasm for Australia's coolest and most luxurious performance cars and boats," HSV special events and marketing coordinator Paul McDonnell said.

The tour, which stopped in Adelaide and Sydney after the Melbourne leg, will next stop in Brisbane on April 25 and 26.
