John Deere joins Yanmar distributor Down Under

John Deere Power Systems has appointed Power Equipment in Melbourne as its new distributor for its full industrial and marine engine ranges in Australia and New Zealand. The appointment is effective  July 1, 2017.

John Deere is well know for its reliable and fuel efficient engines designed to meet the needs of the agricultural, marine, forestry, construction and many OEM customers and applications.

Globally, JD engines are supported by more than 4000 dealerships offering sales advice, aftermarket support and parts backup.

Power Equipment is a family-owned business established in 1990 as the exclusive authorised Australian Distributor of Yanmar Marine and Industrial diesel engines and finished product. These days Poower Equipment’s territory includes New Zealand, PNG and the South Pacific.

Additional products distributed exclusively by Power Equipment include PSS Shaft Seals, Mase and Northern Lights Marine Generators, Gori Propellers, Torqeedo Electric Outboard Motors, and the forthcoming Oxe Diesel Outboard Motor.

As it stands, Power Equipment says it sells around 6000 marine and industrial diesel engines from 5hp-1800hp annually throughout Australia, New Zealand and the broader Oceania region.

Power Equipment’s head office is a purpose-built facility in Melbourne, built around a German automated parts-dispatch system, with substantial stock holdings of products and parts. It also has branches in Sydney and Newcastle, the Gold Coast and Fremantle, plus Auckland and Christchurch in NZ.
