Jeanneau will expand even further into the 10-metre-plus boat range with new models teased overnight for its fishing-focused Merry Fisher and Cap Caramat pocket cruiser range.
The new outboard engine-powered boats, the Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly and the Jeanneau Cap Caramat 10.5 CC, will be revealed in full over the coming months and will follow on from the success of the launch of the brand’s first-ever luxury dayboat, the upmarket DB/43.
“Jeanneau owes the success of its powerboat lines to staying abreast of the latest trends in international markets,” the French boat brand said in a statement announcing the two new models.
“The current trend reveals growing demand for powerboats, and particularly for models of over 10 metres.
“It is in this context that Jeanneau continues to develop and launch flagship models to establish its position as a reference in this market segment.”
Jeanneau said that since it launched the DB/43 “with its ingenious open design and polished finish” in March, the model had sold well.
“The [Jeanneau DB/43’s] accent is placed not only on its clean aesthetic design, but also on its open, airy deck plan, and on the unequalled comfort provided by its interior layout, fit and finish,” Jeanneau said.
“Each detail has been carefully considered to create elegant, generous living spaces for sharing and entertaining.
“More than a day boat, the DB/43 features an exclusive style and surprising versatility for all those who love relaxing, swimming, celebrations with friends, shared moments with family, or more intimate cruises.”
Jeanneau’s move to build ever-bigger boats flies in the face of US-based rival SeaRay, which in 2019 said it would exit the 30-foot-plus boat segment because the level of customisation was making the production of larger boats too expensive.
The two new boats will primarily be aimed at the growing US luxury dayboat market, with Jeanneau saying the new models would also help to invigorate the European market.
