Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600 announced as IRC Boat of the Year 2016

A lightweight, powerful race yacht with hard chines and twin rudders

The Jeanneau Sun Fast 3600 has just been named IRC Boat of the Year by the Union Nationale pour la Course au Large, a judging panel composed of posse of European marine journalists

This award complements a strong race season in Europe and numerous podium finishes in the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and New Zealand.

This award is said to affirm the collaborative work of the Jeanneau team and Andrieu Yacht Design, the designer of the boat, in creating a competitive and affordable production race aycht.

The Sun Fast 3600 benefits from the latest advances in vacuum-bagged resin infusion to ensure exceptional strength and rigidity while drastically reducing weight.

The lightweight, powerful hull with its hard chine, twin rudders and lead keel contributes to this new Sun Fast’s speed, balance and stability on all tacks.

Said to be perfectly adapted to solo, double-handed, and crewed regattas, the Sun Fast 3600 is designed to compete in both inshore and offshore races.

The yacht is available with twin, composite tillers or wheel steering and choices in mainsheet management, the deck layout ensures easy handling through well thought-out ergonomics and optimised sailing functions.
