JD's Boatshed powers into Queensland

Cobalt and Glastron now at Runaway Bay.

In an industry that has suffered from the effects of the GFC, and recent rises in domestic interest rates, it is promising to see an Australian company that is using a strong exchange rate and the power of the trailer boat/cruiser market to help lift the industry.

Following seven successful years of operation in Caringbah, on the fringe of the southern waterways of Botany Bay, JD’s Boatshed have ridden the waves of their success all the way to Runaway Bay and opened a Gold Coast Showroom.

Mark Taylor, General Manager of JD’s Boatshed Gold Coast said: "It’s exciting times for the boating industry of Queensland, with fantastic weather, great lifestyle, and ease of access to numerous waterways, who wouldn’t want to be here? More importantly who would want to be here without a great boat? With the Cobalt and Glastron models we believe that we have the perfect match for Queensland's boating enthusiasts."  Mark added "JD'S is a family-owned business and all our customers are treated as such, all the way from first enquiry, through the sales process and beyond".

The launch of JD’s Boatshed Gold Coast in Runaway Bay, saw many of the icons in the boating industry and locals attend an evening of live music, drinks and food to celebrate the event.

The launch gave the Queensland market their first look at the current Cobalt range of Bowriders and Cruisers. Consumers were able to climb over the boats and witness the quality and care that goes into building these renowned boats.

"These are beautifully constructed boats with the most comprehensive warranties available in the boat building world," said Mark Taylor. "Which not only provides the consumer with peace of mind boating, but also gives us supreme confidence in a quality product”.

Glastron is the other quality American product that JD’s Boatshed will now distribute exclusively to the Queensland and NSW marine markets. Glastron have been building boats since the 1950s and have sold over 500,000 craft worldwide.

"Most people are mindful of price," said Mark. "But they buy on value, and that is exactly what these brands offer to prospective owners, fantastic value for money!"
