Swedish motor boat company J Craft, which specialises in building classically styled boats, launched a new Torpedo at the Monaco Yacht Show.
The new model 'Neptune' was toasted with vintage Dom Perignon champagne by Sir Roger Moore (former James Bond star) and Lady Kristina along with J Craft CEO, Johan Attvik in Monaco.
It's the kind of boat that features mahogany decks with dozens of layers of lacquer for an olde-world finish and J Craft expects to deliver eight Torpedos, which are made to order, over the next few months.
"The Torpedo pushes the limits of classic boat building. The workmanship is completely uncompromising; every single detail on the boat is second to none," said Johan Hallén, the Chief Technical Officer at J Craft Boats.
"We like to think of ourselves as the Bentley of the seas," added Hallén.
Measuring 12.63 metres long, the J Craft Torpedo can reach speeds of up to 44 knots thanks to twin Volvo Penta IPS500 engines and features precise joystick control for slow speed manoeuvres.
The Torpedo has an estimated range of 150 nautical miles at 43 knots (with a 1000 litre fuel tank), with a 200 litre fresh water tank.
The luxury Swedish vessel has five berths (four passengers and one crew) and features several stunning design details, such as the Nardo hand-carved steering wheel and silver cutlery designed by Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.
As such, the price is list as 'upon request' and as Sir Roger Moore explained at Monaco, "I can certainly see James Bond arriving in a boat like this at an exclusive party somewhere on the Riviera and I think any of my seven Bond Girls would have loved it too!"
