Suzuki has provided more information about a secret new outboard engine that the Japanese brand is calling “the dawn of a new era”.
At the 2025 Genoa Boat Show in Italy, Suzuki debuted a new teaser video which offered some striking cinematic imagery, but few actual details.
Perhaps the biggest clue was the presence of the iconic “Geki” or “Parting Seas” logo, which suggests the new motor will sit within Suzuki’s 300-350hp range.
Likely, the Japanese marque is gearing up to launch an overhaul of its flagship 300-350hp GEKI line-up, with at least one other publication speculating that it could represent the brand’s step towards V8 marine outboard power.
A new V8 outboard would see Suzuki follow in the footsteps of its key rival Honda, which released its first V8 outboard engine in 2024.
While no further specifications or technical details have been revealed, Suzuki says that more information on its new engine will be announced in 2026.
