This new product is just one of the display options available that allows skippers to view the underwater area ahead of their boat to help navigate shallow channels, warn of approaching shallow bottom conditions, or to indicate the presence of underwater objects including rocks, reefs, and schools of bait and fish.
This system is designed to operate as an optional primary or remote control/display, as well as being a dedicated weather-resistant display, said Coursemaster Autopilots.
The display's wide 16:9 aspect ratio allows full-screen forward views or split screen views showing the underwater area ahead and the bottom below. The integral keypad buttons are clearly marked and most functions can be selected with a single button push.
The Interphase VGA-7 also comes with a quick-disconnect base for added convenience and security, while the small case is designed to accommodate several mounting options including dash, overhead or flush-mount.
It can operate as a single station dedicated control/display for the SE-200 Sonar Engine, or two Interphase VGA-7's can be connected via a simple cable splitter to allow both a master and remote installation. Additionally, other VGA and multifunctional displays can be simultaneously connected to the SE-200 Sonar Engine and controlled through remote keypads, said Coursemaster Autopilots.
The Interphase VGA-7 comes complete with a 2m power cable and 3m VGA/Keypad cable for connection to the SE-200. Standard VGA cables can be used to extend the length for longer runs. Power required is 10 to 16V-DC at 0.6amps.
